------------------ Filming Locations for ------------------ [This message has been edited by Gordon (edited 05-19-2002).] ------------------deborahknowles In the Polanski film of Macbeth 'The Scottish Play', was Macbeth's castle in fact Lindisfarne? I know it also featured in a black comedy called 'Cul-de-sac'.Any feedback gratefully received! Gordon He used the following locations, and yes, Lindisfarne is there,
Macbeth (1971)
Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, England, UK
Ffestiniog, Wales, UK
Lindisfarne Castle, Northumberland, England, UK
St. Aidan's Church, Northumberland, England, UK
But according to IMDb, Macbeth was the only film which used the castle at Lindisfarne as a location. Cul de Sac lists Holy Island, Northumberland as the location, so that probably did include the castle.

Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page deborahknowles They definately used the inside and outside of the castle in Cul-de-sac, although in the film it was called 'Rob Roy'
